The Greater Maple Valley Community Center makes learning fun! By combining socialization and education in a friendly community setting, we are able to offer a variety of classes that not only allow for individual growth and exploration, but also provide opportunities to connect to others with similar interests. AARP Safe Driving Classes
The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest refresher course for drivers age 50 and older that has helped millions of drivers remain safe on today's roads. This 2-day course is designed to help you:
· Tune up your driving skills and update your knowledge of the rules of the road.
· Learn about normal age-related physical changes, and how to adjust your driving to allow for these changes.
· Reduce your traffic violations, crashes, and chances for injuries.
· Drive more safely.
· Qualify for an auto insurance premium reduction or discount. Specific state insurance laws vary – please consult your insurance agent for specifics in your state.

· Though geared for drivers age 50 and older, the course is open to people of any age.
· AARP membership is not required to take the course.

Stained Glass Class
This popular 6-week class taught by Oliver Orr is offered free of charge by Seniors Making Art, a wonderful non-profit organization founded in 1991 by internationally renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.

Safe Sitter® Babysitting
Safe Sitter is developed especially for 11 to 13 year olds and emphasizes safety for the sitter as well as the children in their care. For more information visit www.safesitter.org.
