Calling All Veterans
Are you a veteran of any branch of the US military, not necessarily a veteran of a war? Do you have questions regarding Federal, State or County services or programs for veterans, families or dependents? If so, you can discuss them with a veteran’s representative from 8:30 am to 11:00 am on on the 3rd Friday of each month. No appointments are necessary. Veterans or their families will be seen on a first come first served basis. Or you can call Joel Estey directly at 206-612-2816.

Computer Assistance
Technology support
Volunteer, Richard Gilbert, specializes in working with senior citizens and provides free, caring, patient, one-on-one, competent computer assistance for PCs and Macs, including repairs, upgrades, diagnostics, tutoring, virus & spyware cleaning and more. On the third Monday of each month from 10 am to noon, Richard will be in the Den to help you with any computer questions you might have. Want to e-mail? Richard has the answers. Want to shop on line? Richard can help. No matter the question, Richard will be here for you. No appointments are necessary.

AARP Tax Assistance
AARP volunteers will be here to offer help with 2009 income taxes each Thursday through April 8th. There will be no charge for this service but appointments must be made by calling 425 432 1272. Clients must bring: picture ID; SS cards for themselves and all dependents, current year tax forms (W-2, 1099, etc.); copy of last year’s tax return; and a checkbook if they want automatic deposit. Volunteer counselors will not do: Schedule C Business Income/Loss (they will do Schedule C-EZ Sole Proprietorship); Schedule E Rental; complicated or lengthy Schedule D Capital Gain/Loss; or complicated Schedule K-1 Partnerships, Estates, etc.
