Teen Program

GMVCC offers a variety of programming for teens aged 12-17. We provide opportunities in educational enrichment, creative expression, service and leadership, and social activities for building friendships and community. Our staff guides teens through activities and helps them grow and value themselves personally.

Teens for Teens

Teens for Teens is a program for students aged 12-17 who want to make a difference in their community. The program constantly welcomes new members. Currently, the group is focused on public transportation and helping the food bank with food drives and fund raisers. We meet in the Den every Tuesday from 3-5pm during the school year. Summer hours are on Tuesdays from 9am-3pm. Come swing by and join us!

Reading with Love

Reading with Love/
Math Works

The Reading with Love/Math Works program pairs young students who need support in reading, writing and math with volunteers to help foster confidence and a love of learning.

 

We meet every Monday and Thursday from 4:00-4:45pm in the Den during the school year.

My Stories

My Stories is a new program where a younger volunteer will interview and write down stories of our older citizens to keep their memories alive for family, friends and the community.

Teen Tech Help

Every Friday after the senior lunch program, from 12:30-1:30pm in the Main Hall, local high school students can volunteer to answer technology questions about cell phones, tablets, etc.
